Henry Ford Wyandotte offers a comprehensive range of clinical opportunities on site, as well as at Henry Ford Hospital, a 903-bed tertiary academic medical center in Detroit. Medical students, interns, and residents choose Wyandotte as their base hospital. The training program combines suburban community hospital training with the extensive resources of Henry Ford Health System. A strong didactic program includes structured daily morning report, noon lectures, frequent nationally known speakers, conferences, journal clubs, tumor conferences, reading clubs, and board review courses. Other features at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital includes: computer-based learning; electronic medical records; electronic imaging and DaVinci Robotic Surgery.

Henry Ford Wyandotte recently opened the Center for Health Services, a state of the art health center in the southwest corner of the hospital's existing service area in Brownstown. The planned services that the ambulatory care center provides are: same day surgery, a 24 hours emergency department, diagnostic imaging, laboratory services and sleep center.

City Profile

Wyandotte is a charming city of 28,000 residents with a vibrant downtown shopping district of specialty shops and restaurants. Nearly every type of residential architecture may be found within the city limits, from modest bungalows to modern condominiums to stately waterfront homes along the Detroit River. The city is conveniently situated near major freeway systems allowing residents access to cultural, sporting, and four season recreational activities both in the Detroit area which is within a 25 minute drive and the Toledo, Ohio area within an hour's drive.
