Clinical Faculty Appointment

Getting a ZPID number and NetID

All hospital teaching faculty and current SCS residents must have an MSU NetID to access the MSU Libraries and electronic resources. Getting an MSU NetID is a multi-step process.

Acquiring a faculty appointment can take some time so it is recommended that the resident apply immediately at the beginning of his or her first year.

Step 1 - Apply for your faculty appointment and ZPID number by submitting this form. After the appointment is approved you will receive a welcome packet from MSUCOM Dean's office.

Step 2 - Request your MSU NetID PIN. You can either pick up your PIN at the ID Office at the International Center, or you can have it mailed or faxed to you.

Step 3 - Activate your MSU NetID. Go to the NetID website and fill out the form with your ZPID and PIN to activate your account. Once it is activated you will have access to msu email and resources.
