Clinical Faculty Appointment

Hospital teaching faculty and current SCS residents may apply for a clinical faculty appointment with Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. A clinical faculty status provides access to all MSU Health Sciences Digital Library resources via a NetID and password. These can be obtained through the following process:

  1. First the physician must apply for a MSU faculty appointment  by completing this form and submitting per instructions found on the last page.
  2. Once you have received your ZPID number, please request your MSU Net ID. This is usually the first six letters of your last name + 2 digits. This will be mailed to you.
  3. Activate your MSU Net ID. Go to the Net ID website and fill out the form with your ZPID and PIN to activate your account. Once it is activated you will have access to MSU email and resources.

Acquiring a faculty appointment can take some time so it is recommended that the resident apply immediately at the beginning of his or her first year.
