SCS Residency Programs
Find a Residency
All of the Option 1, 2 and 3 programs listed below are considered residencies. Options 2 and 3 require one form of an internship as a prerequisite. The duration of training varies with a minimum of three years to a maximum of six years. Primary care residencies tend to be the shortest and the surgical specialties the longest.
Each residency has its unique curriculum as determined by the specialty college and approved by the AOA. Medical students in their fourth year would apply through the AOA Match for selection into the Option 1 and 2 residencies. Each residency is headed by a program director that not only is primarily involved in the selection process but also has the overall responsibility to oversee the running of the program and the training of the residents.
