Highlights

Henry Ford Wyandotte offers a comprehensive range of clinical opportunities on site, as well as at Henry Ford Hospital, a 903-bed tertiary academic medical center in Detroit. Medical students, interns, and residents choose Wyandotte as their base hospital. The training program combines suburban community hospital training with the extensive resources of Henry Ford Health System. A strong didactic program includes structured daily morning report, noon lectures, frequent nationally known speakers, conferences, journal clubs, tumor conferences, reading clubs, and board review courses. Other features at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital includes: computer-based learning; free housing and meals for medical students; and free assigned secure parking.

Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital is planning to build an ambulatory care center in the southwest corner of the hospital’s existing service area in Brownstown. The planned services at the ambulatory care center will be: same day surgery, emergency department, diagnostic imaging, laboratory services and sleep center. It is anticipated that it will be open in April 2006.
