Highlights

Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, Warren Campus offers a comprehensive range of clinical opportunities on site, as well as at Henry Ford Hospital, a 203-bed tertiary academic medical center in Detroit. Medical students, interns, and residents choose the Warren Campus as their base hospital. The training program combines suburban community hospital training with the extensive resources of Henry Ford Health System. A strong didactic program includes structured daily morning report, noon lectures, frequent nationally known speakers, conferences, journal clubs, tumor conferences, reading clubs, and board review courses. Other features at both hospital sites include computer-based learning; free housing and meals for medical students; and free assigned secure parking.


City Profile

Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, Warren Campus is in Warren, Michigan, just northeast of Detroit. It is Michigan's third largest city. The city and its surrounding areas provide abundant housing opportunities, good shopping, a variety of restaurants, and many cultural and sports activities. Detroit-area cultural attractions include world-class museums, symphony, professional sports, fine restaurants, major retail sites, several major universities and all the amenities of a large, metropolitan area. The Warren Campus recently completed extensive renovations and expansion of its emergency department and new surgical wing in 2004.

Henry Ford Hospital is located in the heart of Detroit, approximately one-half hour commute from the Warren Campus. Its 26-acre campus attracts patients from the immediate community, as well as regionally, nationally, and internationally. In addition to its clinical facilities, it serves as a major research and academic medical center.
