This self-directed learning module provides a competency-based tool that teaches residents, interns, and students how to do the Osteopathic Musculoskeletal Exam (OME) for the hospitalized patient. The module provides assessment tools for trainers as well as house staff, a complete video demonstration of the OME, and a lecture presentation for each part of the structural exam. This is a valuable educational tool for Osteopathic educators and clinicians.

Research Training Course for Residents

This is a 20 module training course on the fundamentals of developing and implementing a research project, to assist residents in completing the core competency requirement or any specialty requirements regarding research.  It is designed to be completed over a one year period (although it can be taken at a faster pace).  At the completion of the course and the associated written assignments, the resident will be at the point where an IRB application is ready for submission.  Data collection, analysis and report writing to complete the research project are accomplished in the second year following this course.  The course can be taken via the website or downloaded to PDAs or iPods.
